HOW IT ALL STARTED

I started Ray Brents Design in Indianapolis, Indiana in the fall of 2016. I have always had a passion for building and creating and started building furniture soon after I got my first apartment. I didn’t have enough money to fill my place with new furniture so I decided to make some of my own. Once I built my first table, I quickly knew this was my true passion and I fell in love with the process. I wanted to share my experience of owning custom built furniture so shortly after I made it into an official business . Today I design and build custom furniture, handcrafted in Naperville, IL, and I ship nationwide. I amd looking forward to creating your dream piece.

MY WHY

Working with my hands has always brought me a sense of peace and accomplishment. Paying attention to every little detail of the wood allows me to create a piece that has both tangible and intangible qualities. Not only are my tables functional and hardwearing but they are a place where friends and family can come together to laugh, eat, tell stories and create memories. That is something a dining table represented in my family growing up and I want to share that with my customers. My goal is create a one of a kind piece that will last your family generations.
